$279.00

M2 lock has a built-in remote control module and operates from a Thunderbolt remote controller. Each order includes two pre-programmed remotes regardless of the number of locks purchased. Additional remote controllers can be ordered and will be programmed to work accordingly.

The M2 lock kit operates independently of your factory locks. Whether you currently don’t have remote-controlled doors or want to operate the Thunderbolts independently of your factory key fob. If you are installing an M2 in a sliding door, you must order a Contact Switch for each side sliding door or side swing doors you have. The contact switch will allow for the power connection in the sliding door. One Van Lock Kit is required to secure each entry point.

Note: Even installing one lock, consider ordering a Distribution Block to simplify the installation. The Distribution Block accessory is fused and connects directly to your battery, and each lock easily connects to the block.

IMPORTANT: When installing a lock in any front door, you should always install a Keyed Manual Release in case of battery or actuator failure. The product can be found here. If you do not install a Keyed Manual Release, you risk being locked out of your van or may be subject to the difficult task of accessing the lock assembly while the door is closed.

The Thunderbolt M2 Lock Kit (Model 2) has a built-in remote control module and will operate the deadbolt locks from its included remote controller. To install this lock version, you simply connect the red and black wires to constant power and ground. Once the installation is complete, the locks will operate from the included remote controller. Lock inhibitors are not required on this kit because the locks are not tied into your existing factory locks, and you only engage the locks while the vehicle is not running.

To make the installation of multiple locks easier, we offer a Distribution Block accessory that connects directly to your battery, and then each lock ties into the block.

Please Note: Thunderbolt Locks are intended to secure the vehicle’s contents and are not meant to be engaged while persons are inside or while the vehicle is driving.
