M1+ Van Lock (with lock inhibitor) Factory Key Fob Controlled

$259.00

The M1+ lock operates from your factory key fob. We offer two versions of this lock; (M1) without a lock inhibitor or (M1+) with a lock inhibitor. The built-in lock inhibitor in the M1+ was designed to inhibit the deadbolt from engaging while the ignition is on for safety. If you are securing a door where a passenger may be riding, choose the M1+ with the lock inhibitor. If you are securing the cargo doors of a work van where no passengers will be riding, choose the M1 without the lock inhibitor.

If you are installing an M1+ (with a lock inhibitor) in a sliding door, you will need to order a CONTACT SWITCH for each sliding door you may have. The contact switch allows for the inhibitor connection in the sliding door.

IMPORTANT: When installing a lock in any front door, you should always install a Keyed Manual Release in case of battery or actuator failure. The product can be found here. If you do not install a Keyed Manual Release, you risk being locked out of your van or may be subject to the difficult task of accessing the lock assembly while the door is closed. Removal of the door panel is challenging without the door in the open position.

Note: These locks will mimic what how your factory locks operate. It is imperative to test how your locks operate to make sure your van is not vulnerable to a bypass. Watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_juEsVdjIY&t=3s
